Experience

Receptionist

  •  Vernon Inn
  •  Sep 2009 - Feb 2018

I answered phones and took down information given for customers stay at the hotel. I entered that information into a hard copy book as well as on the computer. I checked in and checked out quests as they arrived and departed.

Receptionist/personal assistant

I did just about everything to keep the company afloat. From going to homes to see what the job details were. So when I'd do this I would go to customers home. Ask what they needed done. After finding out the work needed I would take the measurements of each room. This way I could figure out the square footage so I could come up with an estimate cost to present the customer with. If we won the bid for the job I then made a detailed report of materials needed the cost of each item. The cost of labor work. Estimated time it would take to complete the job. Along with before pictures of the rooms being done. For the company's end I also to after pictures to add into each costumers profolios to have for ourselves incase anything wrong ever arised from the completed job. I also entered all expenses the company had into the expense program they used. From gas to food to materials to auto repairs what we paid our employees ect. That way we could see how much profit we were making also for tax purposes. I made all the phone calls . Calling customers to keep them updated on start dates.. if the guys needed more materials... if end dates were still on time. Calls for missed payments etc. I also called and made payments to material stores. Shops if company cars needed maintenance. I did everything literally to keep the guys going out in the field. I was the only person who ran the office side of the company.

Education

High school diploma

  •  Better Futures High School
  •  Sep 2002 - May 2010

This was a school designed to give troubled youth a second chance. It changed my life for the better. It's a self taught school. The students teach themselves from a computer program designed by philosopher Plato. We had general studies just like any high school, but, we also had lessons on gaining employment, how to be the best at interviews, how to be a successful member of society. Then also how to parent gor when we became parents.
