Have You Been Looking For Your Perfect Online ‘Marketing Mix’, But All You Have Found Is Marketing Mix-ups’?

Not Anymore! You Are Sure To Get What You Need Here!

Hi, my name is Crystal Burton, and I am so glad to “meet” you!

I know why you’ve come. And I am so glad you found me! I understand that many people absolutely DREAD having to write – whether it’s writing a blog post, the content of your website, or even a simple welcome email. But on the flip side, there are also people who thoroughly enjoy writing. I am one of those people that thoroughly enjoys writing, and I am really pretty good at it, too.

A little about me… As I stated before, my name is Crystal, and I am a native Tampa, Florida resident. I was born here, raised here, and aside from a total of about 9 months of my 41 years and 10 months alive. I tried Ohio, for about 4 or 5 months. Once it started to snow, I stuck my flip-flop feet in it, then I went back inside, packed my things, and cam home. The next day I was swimming in the Gulf of Mexico! A few years after that I tried Kentucky, but after 10 days I came home because it was a 45 minute drive to civilization, and being that my car died on my drive up there, that translated into hours upon hours of walking to get to civilization. Nope. I came home. The rest of time that I didn’t live in Tampa was in the next county, when I lived in Lakeland for 3 or 4 months.

I come from a family of avid readers. We always had a couple floor to ceiling bookshelves overflowing with books. When my parents read to me, I paid attention.By the time I was 3, I was hiding under the kitchen table with books, reading them on my own. Mind you, they were children’s books, but I still read them on my own. If I didn’t know a word, I would run to my mom, or aunt, and ask them, and they would tell me, and I’d run back under the table and keep going.

When I started Kindergarten, my teachers asked my parents for permission to have me tested for ‘gifted’ classes, and my parents agreed. They determined that I was already reading on a second grade level and was also advanced in other areas. The gifted program didn’t start until first grade, but I went right into it when I started first grade. If you’re not familiar, the gifted program has courses that really challenge your critical thinking skills as well as introduce you to deeper coverage of the curriculum given to other students. I remained in the gifted programs throughout my educational journey.

I made straight A’s on every report card until 7th grade, when I got my first B, which was devastating to me. In high school I hit this rebellious stage where I skipped school a lot and experimented with drugs, but still graduated May 27, 1999 in National Honor Society ranked #78 out of 378 students by GPA, which was 3.833. I received a full scholarship that covered tuition, books, supplies, and housing and even left me an allowance amount each month, to attend St. Leo University, but I decided to take a year off between high school and college.

During that year, I quickly became pregnant, and my focus shifted even further from school, to motherhood. For years I wanted to go back, but life was just too much with a kid and a job. Finally in 2012 I thought I had reached a place where I can finally get back to school, so I applied to an RN program and was accepted.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right time, because after the first quarter had ended and I was scheduled to begin clinicals the next quarter, I got evicted from my home. I was trying to juggle school and work and pay all the bills while my roommates paid nothing and watched me drown. If you fail any courses in the RN program you get kicked out. But if you withdraw instead, you can come back. So that is what I did.

Since then, I got it in my mind that I was going to earn my living online. I didn’t realize how much there was to learn, though! I spent a couple of years learning various aspects of this online business, but I was unsure of exactly what I needed to learn, and I didn’t want to get to the point where I felt I could safely launch an online business only to be faced with a still huge knowledge gap that could, and likely would, set me back a couple more years.

So, in 2022 I decided that no matter what I was going to earn a degree. Rather than returning to the RN program, I transferred my credits to Strayer University after applying and being accepted to their online Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management program, where my concentration is entrepreneurship and I also declared a minor in marketing.

During my time with Strayer, I have earned President’s List every quarter, meaning I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. In a few months I will be adding their Accelerate courses, allowing me to also earn my Master’s in Business Administration alongside my Bachelor’s.

I was invited to join five honor societies, but I only joined three. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) as a lifetime Premium member, the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement (SCLA) as a lifetime member, and the Beta Upsilon Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) as a lifetime member.

I also am a member of the American Writers and Artists Institute, where I have completed several of their programs learning different areas of copywriting, such as email copywriting, blog copywriting, long form direct response sales letter copywriting, B2B copywriting, etc. What they really teach at AWAI is the art of persuasive copywriting, despite which area one chooses to specialize in.

I have working knowledge of retail, fast food, credit cards, ecom, and more, from working in those industries over the years. However, I am not limited to that knowledge. I learn anything rather quickly, and I have the ability to share that knowledge with others in such a way they can easily pick it up and apply it in their own lives. This ability to quickly learn and disseminate useful information has landed me in training roles in every job I have held over the years!

Please don’t feel limited to copywriting. I also have completed training programs (or have experience in) for social media management, ghostwriting, text translation, transcription, selling solo ads, selling web hosting, site audits, editing, proofreading, SEO, article writing, and much more. Just tell me what you need. If it is not something I can confidently say I can do, then I will tell you I can’t do that. And then I will go learn how to do it!

With all that being said, it has been a pleasure allowing you to get to know me a little, and I truly look forward to doing phenomenal work for you!
