Higher Education profession
• Recruit, assist and counsel prospective students throughout the application process to matriculation in my territory of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
• Evaluate 1,000 plus individual applications from the Southeast each school year.
• Work from a home office location when not on the road recruiting since July 2017. Office is equipped with the appropriate technology to work just as productively at home versus in a brick-and-mortar office.
• Travel to and from campus various times a year to assist the home office with various on-campus programming and attend yearly meetings.
• Handle all communication by email, phone, ZOOM virtual meetings, sessions and events in my territory with students, parents, & high school counseling staff.
• Plan and execute a number of recruitment and yield events (in-person and virtual) using various platforms but most knowledgeable with ZOOM. Our office has been using ZOOM for almost 5 years.
• Chair of the Strength of Curriculum (SOC) Committee for the Office of Admission since Fall 2020- Spring 2022. The Committee evaluates SOC appeal requests from counselors to change an applicants’ SOC in the evaluation process. The committee will vote led by a discussion from me. I will record and turn in decisions made by the committee to upper management.
• Scholarship Reconsideration Committee member for 2021-2022 school year- I served as a member with three other colleagues in the Office of Admission which includes the Director. Our group will evaluate admitted first-year students’ request to upgrade or receive an award by having a further evaluation of the applicant’s file and additional received credentials.
• Chair of Scholarship Reconsideration Committee as of Fall 2022 to present. Lead monthly scholarship committee meetings in the Spring semester with three other colleagues across different levels of management in the office. Our group access, approve or not approve requests submitted by other colleagues on behalf of admitted first- year students. I am responsible for running reports prior to the meeting, sending reports out to committee members, and after the meeting, communicating and addressing issues from the meeting with the Director of Operations. In a number of cases, we find workable solutions together. I am also responsible for sending the list of awardees to the Financial Aid Director and other key constituents for approval. Once approved for release, I notify the entire office of the decisions. Also, one of two points of contact for scholarship reconsideration concerns and questions in the Office of Admission.
• Office of Admission Disciplinary Committee for 2022-2023 school year- serve with four other colleagues in the office including the Dean of Admission in meeting with accepted applicants who have a disciplinary or possible criminal infraction from acknowledgment on the application or after an acceptance has rendered before matriculation. These formal meetings with students via ZOOM to gather more intel and insight into the infraction/s to assist the Dean in making a final determination if to rescind an offer of admissions.

Master of Liberal Arts degree
Official completed Master of Liberal Arts degree this summer. I will walk in the December graduation completing the program with a 4.0 GPA
